CONCEPT

VENTIDUE, a cruiser/racer sailboat distinguished for her versatility and aesthetic cared, building quality and design details.

Ventidue responds to a fast family sailing concept, both the hull and cabin have large volumes which are very well used in the interior layout, showing an arrangement of four berths, fixed folding table, stainless steel oven and separated toilet, fulfilling the bluewater sailors’ requirements, which are very difficult to find in these sizes boats without paying a significant aesthetic price to obtain comfort and interior height. The interior shows very straight Italian style clean lines, central symmetrical sofa with flying backrests escaping the traditional, and reducing the room visual ‘weight’.

The boat, with her 22 feet length , has many innovations from the design point of view. Aesthetic discovers a very particular avant-garde look. The cabin, dominated by twisted surfaces with inverted curvatures, are merged into sharp edges which provide a very aggressive style, but balancing at the same time the sobriety and elegant finishing with modernist design base. The cockpit also exhibits very generous dimensions respecting at the same time the harmony of the design concept chosen.

The hull started with an inverted bow generating a chamfer with variable width which runs all along the sheer line, and disappearing at the transom. This full length chamfer creates a new edge along the entire hull and manages to reduce the visual height of freeboards.

For those who enjoy competition, they have the option of racing under "rating formulas" in a very competitive way, where the boat has already achieved important results, as well as participating in the existing VENTIDUE CLASS which has several annual championships.

The shipyard at the same time, has invested many hours in the development of the interior arrangement parts to improve its quality and get all the amenities that a family needs. Important high level details were inherited from her bigger sister "Trentadue", as ambient LED technology/diffused light and electronic touch-screen control panel among others.

TECHNOLOGY

Ventidue is a high speed boat, fit to compete in regattas

Its design was done under strict studies using CFD analysis (Computational Fluid Dynamics), usually applied in highly competitive sailing, airplanes and race cars, among others. As a result, have been found the optimal keel and rudder's profiles for the specified design requirements, and have been carried out a major study which yielded a strategically positioned deflector in the bow area as result, in order to reduce the wash-up resistance in certain sailing conditions and wave.
